CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS!
See pictures of the prizes below!
Once again, we had wonderful prizes for our annual raffle. Like last year, this was a "pick-your-prize" raffle: folks entered tickets for the item or items they most wished to win. We thank all the folks who supported RSVP & The Volunteer by getting tickets.
- Blanche Clark won the pine Adirondack Chair crafted by one of our Chore Corps volunteers, Ken Hall. "The design comes from my recent discovery of an old pattern dating back to 1931, before I was born. Its contoured seat and wide arms make it a great sleepin' and eatin' chair." It measures approximately 33" wide, 34" front to back, and 35" tall. Looking for tables, benches, bookcases and such? For directions to Santa's Workshop: The Home of Hall Built Furniture in Unity, New Hampshire, call Ken and Mary at 603-542-8968.
- Nancy Collins won the baskets -- a sturdy market basket plus a "treat yourself" basket of goodies. Judy Bauer makes baskets to order! Call 603-787-6758. At 14 1/2 inches long, 8 1/2 inches wide, and 6 1/2 inches deep, the market basket would be perfect to take to the farmers' market, keep one's yarn, or fill with gifts! Judy volunteers with the meals program at Horse Meadow Senior Center, and the RSVP Bone Builders classes there. Herbalist Elaine Elliott of Dugway Farm, staff from Glencliff Home for the Elderly and former RSVP Advisory Council member filled a separate basket with a collectable tea cup, a box of green tea, a honey bear, chocolates, a bath glove, a heel brush, plus her own blend of peppermint foot scrub, and a Japanese face blend and more!
- Barbara Easton won the variegated raspberry, non-wool hand-knit raglan sleeve woman's cardigan (medium) made and donated by Jo Tansey. An RSVP Bone Builders leader, Jo is also longtime home delivered meals runner and driver at Mascoma Area Senior Center.
- Lori Thompson won the the 1940s solid maple school desk on an iron frame with a 2 inch diameter inkwell hole, donated by Paula Hutchison of Paula's Barntiques in Wentworth, New Hampshire. For more antiques, call Paula's at 603-764-9619.
- Teresa Perrault won theWalmart gift certificate.
- Sandra Fitzpatrick won two night's midweek lodging - for two - in a traditional room, with full Country Breakfast each morning, kindly donated byWoodstock Inn and Brewery

Each year RSVP & The Volunteer Center calls on its volunteers, partner agencies, and friends to lend a hand in raising money to support its activities. Thanks to your help, we can continue to provide vital volunteer recruitment, placement and support services in towns throughout Grafton and Sullivan Counties. Meaningful assignments, free supplemental insurance, mileage assistance, and recognition activities for volunteers' accomplishments are some of the tangible benefits of volunteering or hosting volunteers through RSVP & The Volunteer Center. For the communities, the benefit of over 51,997 hours of service contributed by 389 volunteers through 35 non-for-profit agencies and municipalities can be valued in dollars, and measured by the impact made on peoples' lives.
